2 oz. (25 cups) or 6 oz. (75 cups)

Himalayan Golden Tips are hand-plucked and almost entirely made up of whole leaf buds. To make the fresh and stiff tea leaves flexible for shaping, the leaves are wilted between 10-14 hours depending upon climactic conditions. After gentle shaping, the leaves are fully oxidized, which turns the leaf buds a golden brown. This tea has creamy and cocoa notes that linger long on the palate—especially without milk or sugar.

Brewing instructions
Amount: 2 grams of loose tea per cup of water (a pinch)

About Our Nepalese Tea

Grown in the Himalayan foothills, Nepalese tea is extraordinary. However, years of industry underdevelopment, coupled with a decade-long civil war, served to stunt Nepal's economy. Development of tea farming in the country suffered as a result. Since the signing of a peace accord in 2006, Nepal's tea growers have sought to share their product with more and more drinkers around the world.

Our Nepalese tea comes from small farms in Ilam, a region just 45 miles west of Darjeeling, at an altitude of between 5,000 and 6,000 feet. The region is semi-tropical and very sunny, but has abundant rainfall.

Tea Without Sugar

My sweet tooth is a considerable problem for me. I’ve loved black tea for over 30 years, but have struggled with the knowledge that with every cup, I’m also including 1-2 tsp of sugar—a disappointing yet until now unavoidable fact of life for me. Golden Tips is the first tea that I fully enjoy even without sugar. It’s fabulous. Enjoyed daily, never tire of it. Still enjoying my other teas with sugar, but adding in a cup or two of Golden Tips helps me reduce my daily sugar intake and that’s a win. Ramadan teas have become my staple. Excellent quality and I very much appreciate the details shared about their teas’ origins. Love this company. ❤️

Falling in Love with Tea again!

Have tried a dozen teas, each one different, every one fabulous. Open a bag and I am in an exotic flower garden. Reminds me of tea from Chinatown in SanFrancisco, 50 years ago. Love everything about Rakkasan!!!

Wonderful Tea!

This is a particularly delicious tea reminiscent of a Keemun or Golden Monkey yet smoother and somewhat lighter.
