1.3 oz. (15 - 20 cups) or 6 oz. (70 - 80 cups)

Coming from Sri Lanka's Sinharaja Rain Forest region, Sinharaja Green is a rare hand-picked, hand-rolled and superior green tea made of long, twisty leaves that turn into a luscious, leafy green with infusion, revealing a light golden liquor.  It has addictively mild notes of seaweed with sweet notes later that rise to provide a striking balance. A light vegetal fragrance is gently released, enveloped by an air of bee’s honey.

Comprised of two leaves and a bud, Sinharaja Green is slow withered, pan-roasted, twisted to perfection, dried and packed within a day of plucking. To boot, it's full of antioxidants and immune boosting natural goodness. In all, a fantastic Ceylon tea!

About Our Sri Lankan Tea

Formerly called Ceylon, the island of Sri Lanka has produced some of the finest tea in the world for the last 150 years. While the tea industry survived Sri Lanka’s 30-year-long civil war intact, it has also bolstered the entire country’s continued economic recovery since the war's end in 2009.

Peaceful afternoons

This has become my favorite tea during afternoons between classes (I am a college professor). A three minute steep gives a pale green tea with a gentle flavor. I often steep two or three times and it retains its flavor, with subtle variations, throughout.
