Russian Caravan is a popular tea blend made of black, oolong and smoky lapsang souchong teas. Traditionally, the smoky character was considered to have been "imparted to the tea by the close proximity of the camel caravans to countless camp fires en route across the Mongolian steppes to Russia." We blend this one in-house.
If you like a bit of smokiness without the full blast of a lapsang souchong, then this might be the tea for you!
Brewing instructions
Amount: 2 grams of loose tea per cup of water (a pinch)
Temperature: 212 ̊ (A full, rolling boil)
Steep time: 2 - 3 minutes
